Infiltration bid foiled, 2 militants killed

SRINAGAR, July 18: Army today foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in Keran sector of Kupwara by killing two militants.

A Defence spokesman said that “Army neutralized two Pakistani terrorists preventing their entry into Indian territory”.
The anti-infiltration operations are ongoing as security forces continue to monitor the area for any further threats.
“The swift action by our soldiers underscores their vigilance and unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation’s borders. We remain vigilant and ready to respond to any threat that compromises our territorial integrity,” he said.
“The Indian Army’s proactive stance is crucial in deterring such infiltration attempts, ensuring the safety and security of our nation,” the official said.
“Our forces continue to demonstrate exceptional bravery and resilience in the face of constant threats. Their efforts are crucial in maintaining peace and stability in Jammu and Kashmir,” he added.
This is the second infiltration bid foiled by the Army in a week. On July 14, three militants were killed in an operation in the Keran sector of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
