BHUBANESWAR, Apr 1: Panchapatmali Bauxite Mines of the public sector NALCO, located in Koraput district of Odisha, has bagged many awards at 16th Mines Environment & Mineral Conservation Week (MEMC) 2013-14, held here.
Panchapatmali Bauxite Mines received first prize in top soil management, 1st prize in Afforestation, 2nd prize in Reclamation & Rehabilitation and 2nd Prize in overall performance under the category of fully mechanised mines (except Keonjhar & Sundergarh), a company release said today.
MEMC week is celebrated every year under the aegis of Indian Bureau of Mines (Bhubaneswar Region), wherein various teams from different participating mines are inspected and evaluated. (PTI)
