Balbir appointed national general secretary Guru Ravidass Mahapeeth

JAMMU, July 19: Balbir Ram Rattan, BJP senior leader and former vice chairperson, J&K, SC, ST, BC, Development Corporation, has been elevated as national general secretary of Shri Guru Ravidass Vishwa Mahapeeth.
He has been associated with the Mahapeeth for the past few years and was earlier national secretary in the team of national office bearers of the Mahapeeth.
Senior functionaries of the BJP and other social organizations honoured Balbir for achieving this distinction. He was presented Mata ki Chunri by former Minister and BJP general secretary, Dr D K Manyal in presence of Prof (Dr.) Kulbhushan Mohtra and Ravinder Birpuria and in return, Balbir presented the portraits of Guru Ravidass to them.
Guru Ravidass Vishwa Mahapeeth is an international social organization working for social equality and brotherhood by reaching the people with the teachings of Guru Ravidass Ji Maharaj. It has office bearers at international and national levels which include sitting and former Ministers, MPs, chairpersons, vice chairpersons, besides intellectuals, educationalists, youth, journalists and others.
Dr. Manyal appreciated the noble mission of the Mahapeeth of working tirelessly to spread the teachings of Guru Ravidass in India and abroad and his message of universal goodwill, with no space for discrimination on the basis of caste.
Balbir Ram, while expressing gratitude to the Mahapeeth for recognizing his services and elevating as national general secretary, assured to continue to work whole-heartedly, reach the people in every segment of the J&K.
