JAMMU, July 19: Kundan Kashmiri, president of the Kashmir Pandit Conference (KPC), has accused the Kashmir centric political parties of being hand in glove with the subversive forces.
In a strong statement issued here, today, Kashmiri said it was the result of this soft attitude of the Kashmir centric ruling parties from time to time that militants got emboldened and they made the nationalist people as well as security forces their targets.
Kashmiri said though J&K suffered a lot in last 34 years of turmoil but it is unfortunate that Kashmir politicians have no clear -cut stand on Pak sponsored terrorism and courage to condemn it in strongest terms.
He demanded a through probe into role of Kashmir centric political parties who always tried to cover up the separatist tendencies of the people in Valley. Kashmiri, while endorsing the recent statement of the DGP J&K, R R Swain criticised the former Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti’s outbursts and said it is that same Mehbooba who during her Government had said that had the Kashmiri boys gone to have toffees from a security forces bunker in Handwara. He said it is unfortunate that the Kashmir politicians take no time in shifting loyalties and changing statements that led to over three decade long turmoil in Kashmir and genocide of Hindu minorities from Valley.
He said that it was the NC which misled the Kashmiri masses right from 1947 by challenging accession by terming it temporary which led to separatist tendencies in Valley that took critical turn in 1989 -90 when NC and Congress were having a collation Government in the erstwhile State.
