JAMMU, July 19: Up in the arms over fare issue, Vaishno Devi E-Rickshaw Auto Union held a strong protest outside the office of Transport Commissioner, here today.
The protesting E-Rickshaw operators raised slogans in support of their demand for resolution of fare issue as early as possible to avoid confusion over the same.
Union president Gourav Kapoor said that there is a big confusion in the fare order released by Transport Commissioner. The matter should be sorted out and the fare should be fixed by taking us in confidence, he added.
“It was the dream project of our Prime Minister Narinder Modi, to make Jammu and Kashmir a ‘Green Corridor’ but unfortunate some officers are working under pressure of someone to create issues for E-Rickshaw time to time,” Kapoor said and appealed Lt governor of Jammu and Kashmir to look into the matter personally to resolve these issue for smooth functioning of E-Rickshaws.
