Surprise ticket checking, inspection of catering conducted in train

JAMMU, July 19: Under the special ticket checking campaign, intensive ticket checking was done today in train number-12238 (Jammu Tawi-Varanasi Begumpura Express).
The campaign was launched under the leadership of Senior Divisional Commercial Paramdeep Singh Saini and guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Sanjay Sahu. Commercial Inspector Jammu Tawi Pasvir was accompanied by five ticket checking staff and two GRP jawans.
A fine of about 15 thousand rupees was collected from 29 passengers for travelling without ticket and irregularly. Senior Divisional Commercial Paramdeep Singh Saini also inspected the catering, cleanliness and other passenger facilities in this train.
During inspection in air-conditioned coaches, it was found that the coach attendant had kept bundles of bedrolls on the path of passengers. These bundles were removed immediately so that passengers may not face any problem in boarding and deboarding the coach. In this regard, the coach attendant was counselled and the concerned division was informed for necessary action.
