RAMBAN, July 19: Police here today arrested an absconder after 24 years.
SSP Ramban, Anuj Kumar has constituted special Police teams to apprehend individuals wanted in various cases.
A dedicated Police team working in this direction apprehended the absconder Mohd Ramzan, son of Abdul Majeed Wani, resident of Brazaloo, Tehsil & District Kulgam.
He was wanted in an FIR with no. 117 of 2000 under Section 188 RPC and 3 PC Act.
After the commission of the offence, the accused was absconding and evading his arrest to avoid legal proceedings.
A General Warrant of Arrest under Section 299 Cr. PC was issued by the Court against him.
After putting hard efforts cops arrested him and produced him before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Ramban.
