JAMMU, July 20: Inner Wheel Club, New Gen, Jammu organized the installation ceremony of its new president and its Executive Committee members here, today.
The outgoing president Ambika Samnotra and others welcomed the guest of honour Dr Santosh Gupta, former District Chairperson (DC) and chief guest Preeti Khajuria, district vice Chairperson by presenting a bouquet and also spoke few words in their honour. The chief guest entrusted the responsibility of New president to Manpreet Gandhi, secretary to Ritu Sharma, Editor to Amarjeet Kour, ISO to Rajni Gupta and treasurer to Mridula Dubey to undertake the activities of the Club in new fiscal.
The chief guest elaborated in her opening remarks the role and responsibilities of such clubs, that play a vital role in upliftment of downtrodden families and society at large at the time of support and need. District vice chairperson, Preeti Khajuria also interacted with the new team, shared her experience and knowledge with valuable suggestions to adopt the needy children to provide them best possible education, adopt village for providing clean atmosphere to the inhabitants and health needs of the village population.
She also complimented the new members of the Club to work in unison in achievement of its designated roles. After the installation ceremony, the needy families were provided with the kits comprising of food items etc. by the newly elected members of the Club. Apart from this one bicycle, one sewing machine and sanitary napkins were also distributed amongst the needy. vote of thanks was delivered by Ritu Sharma.
