Free eye camp-cum-oral cancer screening camp concludes

JAMMU, Apr 1: Two days free eye camp-cum-oral cancer screening camp organised by Army for the people of Doda, Ramban and Kishtwar at Dharmund concluded today.
It was also an extension of the ‘World Cancer Week’ being organised all over the world.
The objective was to provide specialist medical advice and treatment to detect and cure such ailments at an early stage.
The medical camp was largely meant to provide quality medical care to residents of areas where medical care is almost non-existent.
The medical camp organised by Rastriya Rifles Force based at Dharmund saw participation of eye specialists from Army’s Command Hospital at Udhampur, Doctors and other paramedical staff from Army Field Hospital based at Dharmund.
The patients were given necessary medication and medical advice.
Around 250 patients including Ex-servicemen along with students of Government Middle School, Dharmund were provided free health checkup during the event.
Deputy General Officer Commanding, Delta Force visited the medical camp today and interacted with the patients and Army veterans.
He exhorted all patients to utilize the facility of medical camps organised by Army from time to time to identify their problems at an early stage.
