HC confirms ad hoc appointment of 4 Distt Judges; promotes 22 Civil Judges

JAMMU, July 20: High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has confirmed the ad hoc appointment of four District Judges and promoted 22 Civil Judges (Junior Division) as Civil Judges (Senior Division).

As per the order issued by Shahzad Azeem, Registrar General, pursuant to the resolution adopted by the Full Court, the ad hoc appointment on promotion basis as District Judges (Entry Level) of four Judicial Officers made on October 13, 2022 has been confirmed/regularized against the available posts.
These Judicial Officers are Adnan Sayeed, Khem Raj, Dinesh Gupta and Parvaiz Iqbal.
Meanwhile, after considering comparative seniority, vigilance report and performance, 22 Civil Judges (Junior Division) have been temporarily promoted as Civil Judges (Senior Division).
These Civil Judges are Iqbal Rafiq Vakil, Touseef Ahmad Magray, Madhu, Zahoor Ahmad Ganaie, Lubna Sultan, Jeewan Kumar, Arti Devi, Jyoti Bhagat, Fidah Hussain Nayek, Girja Shavan, Tabraiz Ahmed, Junaid Imtiyaz Mir, Shafeeq Ahmad Malik, Rajni Bhagat, Brij Raj Singh, Sandeep Singh Sen, Shabnam Sheikh, Shafeeq Ahmed, Wangial Tsering, Moneer Ahmad, Chemit Yurgyal and Faizan Nazar.
They shall continue to work at their respective place of postings till their formal adjustment against the posts of Civil Judge (Senior Division).
The assessment of Mir Sayeem Qayoom has been kept in the sealed cover in terms of the Article 110 A(2) till the outcome of the regular enquiry initiated against him.
