JKMSCL operationalizes online financial mgmt system, conducts training prog for suppliers

JAMMU, July 21: J&K Medical Supplies Corporation, as part of promoting ease of doing business, conducted a training program for suppliers of drugs and equipment.
The session was attended by more than 70 suppliers based in J&K and other parts of the country. Its aim was to sensitize key stakeholders to understand the functionality of the online financial management system activated during the current financial year.
This system provides suppliers with easy and online access to ascertain payments made against raised invoices, capturing key details such as payment dates, amounts released, deductions made, etc. Additionally, it offers a quick method for financial reconciliation of accounts for suppliers, eliminating the need for human interface. Operating through the DVDMS portal, the system has successfully integrated all stakeholders onto one platform.
The Corporation’s initiative was well-received by the supplier community, who also suggested additional features for the system. The interactions during the program established a framework for future engagement.
The management of JKMSCL assured participants of its commitment to collaborating with suppliers who adhere to sustainable and ethical practices. It is actively pursuing further initiatives to streamline processes, ensuring seamless operations and a user-friendly platform where suppliers can easily manage orders, track payments, and communicate with procurement team.
Furthermore, it was assured that training and development programs to support suppliers in meeting quality standards and improving operational efficiency will become routine for the convenience of suppliers and bidders.
