Missing youth found ‘murdered’; JK Bank Guard hangs self

UDHAMPUR, July 22: A missing youth was found apparently murdered in forest area Mandoban jungle, under the jurisdiction of Chenani Police Station while a J&K Bank Guard ended his life by hanging himself at Latti.
Reports said that Liyaqat Ali (22), son of Mussa Khan of Narsoo, Tehsil Chennai, was found dead today. He was missing since July 17 after he left home for going to upper reaches and his decomposed dead body with injury mark on neck was recovered from forest area.
According to the police, an information was received at Police Station Chenani that dead body of an unknown male was lying in forest area Mandoban jungle. On receiving the information, SHO Chenani Pushpinder Singh along with Police team rushed to the spot and shifted the dead body to CHC Chenani for postmortem.
Confirming that there were cut marks on neck of the deceased, Police did not rule out possibility of murder. Since body of the deceased was highly decomposed, nothing certain can be said about exact cause of death, police said, adding that a case has been registered in this connection in Police Station Chenani for further investigation.
Meanwhile, another missing man was found hanging from a tree at Kairn Galla Pattangarh in Latti area.
According to the Police, Rakesh Singh (40), son of Pritam Singh of Jandrodh Plaal in Ramnagar was found hanging from a tree under mysterious circumstances. The deceased was working as a private security guard in Jammu and Kashmir Bank at Ghordi branch. He was missing since July 20.
On being informed, a Police team from Latti Police Station shifted the dead body to hospital for the postmortem. A case has been registered in this connection for further investigation.
