JAMMU, July 23: Finance Department has cautioned pensioners against fake circular/forms viral on social media platforms and advised them not to pay any heed to the rumours.
In a circular, the department said, “it has been noticed that some fake circular/forms are viral on social media platforms where as circular instructions dated July 8, 2024 are clear and exclusive that pensioners shall only visit the concerned treasury for physical verification as per the age group already notified in the circular ibid”.
“Further, in order to avoid rush at treasuries and inconvenience to the pensioners, Treasury Officers have been directed to issue branch wise, area wise roaster so that pensioners visit the treasury on designated date for verification”, read the latest circular.
