Parliament Panel Member’s letter to J&K Govt on Rattle Project

JAMMU, July 23: Krupal Balaji Tumane, MP and Member, Parliament Standing Committee on Transport Tourism & Culture (Civil Aviation & Shipping), Parliamentary Committee on Welfare of SC&ST, Member Consultative Committee on Coal & Mines and Consultative Committee on Petroleum & Natural Gas has urged the J&K Government to look into the issue of implementation of (R&R) Rehabilitation and Resettlement plan of Rattle Hydro Power Project, Drabshalla, district Kishtwar.
In a letter to Chief Secretary of J&K, Krupal Thumane has urged him to look into the matter and do the needful so that the beneficiaries should not suffer more and development should be done in district Kishtwar at the earliest.
Krupal Thumane has made a reference to a memorandum submitted by Tilak Raj Shan, Shiv Sena president, Chenab valley in this regard. In his memorandum Shan had expressed serious concern over the failure of the Project authorities in implementing the R R Plan despite the repeated pleas by the people of the area as well as his organization. He has also sought immediate intervention of Parliamentary Standing Committee on this issue.
Tilak Raj Shan said Deputy Secretary to the Government in his letter under no PDD-PS/8/22-5-PDD issued approved letter and forwarded to Managing Director J&K regarding implementing R&R Plan for Rattle Hydro Power Project Drabshalla district Kishtwar and urged him to examine the instant matter and furnishing the detailed report to this Department enabling to appraise the MP.
