49 live cartridges found in a well

SAMBA, July 23: Forty nine live cartridges were found while cleaning a well in Ban Glad village in the border area of Samba district. In the preliminary investigation, it was found that these are cartridges of 303 Gun. The well is just a few meters away from the India-Pakistan International Border, so to find out where these cartridges came from, soldiers and officers of Border Security Force and Jammu and Kashmir Police also reached the spot.
The police, who reached the spot, took all the cartridges in their possession and started further investigation. The matter came to light after the local youth were cleaning the well near the Mahavir temple located in the village, when suddenly they started finding cartridges.
While cleaning, they found about 49 cartridges. They informed the police and BSF officers about this. The police reached the spot, took the cartridges in their possession and started further investigation. Meanwhile, the police said that a cleaning drive will be carried out again in the morning to ensure that there are no more cartridges or any other related material in the well.
