JAMMU, July 24: The 16th Foundation Day of Maharishi World Peace Movement was celebrated with enthusiasm, here today.
Chief Guest of the function was Dr Shreyansh Kumar Jain, State Yoga Commissioner, State Chairman Indian Yoga Association and President Vichar Kranti Manch International.
National Executive Member of Bharat Vikas Parishad, Arun Sharma presided over the function.
Ashok Gupta, State Vice President, Bharat Vikas Parishad and Vichar Kranti Manch International, Narendra Wadhera, President, Evening Walkers Association, Trikuta Nagar and Sunita Gupta, State Financial Secretary, Bharat Vikas Parishad were guests of honour.
School Principal, Vishnu Govind Verma, welcomed the guests and threw light on the Vision and Mission of Maharishi Vidya Mandir schools in India.
The chief guest, Dr Jain explained about the qualities of a charactered student as respectful, responsible, discipline and motivation.
Method of Transcendental Meditation as founded by Maharshi, was explained.
He also explained about the easiest and effective way of Transcedental Meditation.
Arun Sharma, speaking in his presidential address, applauded the efforts taken by the management of MVM in spreading the Divine teachings of Maharishi.
Ashok Gupta and Sunita Gupta also spoke on the occasion.
Main features of MVM schools are working under the guidance of Chairman MVM group of schools Brahmchari Girish, the most blessed disciple of his Maharishi Mahesh Yogi ji Maharaj.
Main focus was to inculcate rich Vedic culture and to nurture the student with Vedic knowledge and Science, which will re- establish the concept of Guru Bhakti- a total and unquestioned devotion of disciples to their Guru for an ideal society.
Seema Sharma and Mona Sharma conducted the proceedings of the program.
Senior teacher, Seema presented a Vote of thanks in a simple and effective way.
