Free medical camp held at Batote, several patients treated

JAMMU, July 24: On the directions of District Development Commissioner Ramban Baseer-ul-haq Choudhary and Director Health Services Jammu Dr.Rakesh Magotra Block Medical Officer Batote conducted general and specialized medical camps at PHC Bhatni .
The camps were organised to diagnose and treat patients with different medical conditions. The camp was inaugurated by Dr Opinder Singh, BMO Batote in the presence of PRIs of area. The team of 7 doctors including Ortho, Consultant and Dental surgeon examined 880 patients. Free medicines were provided to all patients. Eye screening of 155 patients was done out of which 75 patients were provided spectacles.
Screening of 437 children for various defects and diseases was done by Rashtriya Bal swasthya Karikarm (RBSK) team of block Batote. Ayushman card counter was also available. Under NCD screening blood pressure was checked and 190 tests for HB and blood sugar were done. Screening for Tuberclosis was also undertaken and nearly 115 patients were screened and 54 suspected patients were provided sputum container for sample collection to be tested later.
A counter for Ayush OPD was also available, which provided ayurvedic medicines. Under the family planning Various family planning services such as condoms, IUCD etc were provided.
