Two held with 3000 banned drug tablets

RAJOURI, July 24: Jammu and Kashmir Police today arrested two youth following recovery of 3000 tablets of a banned drug from their possession.
“A team of Police Station Rajouri headed by SHO Inspector Aejaz Ahmed Wani intercepted two youth near Children Park and recovered 3000 tablets of banned drug (Tramadol Hydrochloride) from their possession following which duo were been arrested,” a police spokesman said.
He said the arrested youth were identified as Umar Malik son of Nisar Ahmed of Atti Rajouri (at present Malik Market, Rajouri) and Mohd Arif son of Mohd Raqeeb of Malik Market.
“A formal criminal case under FIR Number 327/2024 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered against the accused at Police Station Rajouri,” the spokesman stated while adding that investigation into digging both forward and backward linkages of instant NDPS recovery was going on.
