The combined concerted action speedily taken by the security forces in taking on the Pakistan based terror attack near Tranah bridge in Hiranagar on March 28 is praiseworthy. The precious three lives, however, had to be lost in this condemnable dastardly attack made by these three terrorists besides causing injuries to many. The motive behind is hardly not evident as only a day earlier there was a huge election rally conducted there which was addressed by Narindra Modi, the Prime Ministerial candidate from the BJP.
How these fugitives in military uniforms managed to sneak into this side from the border without being checked is a serious matter especially when barely a few months back a similar attack in the same area had taken place. The heavy weaponry recovered from their possession could have caused more damage in respect of life and property had they not been spotted and eliminated well in time. Looking to the election dates drawing nearer utmost vigil and care needs to be taken as more attacks of such nature cannot be ruled out. Border vigil , checking at railway stations, bus depots etc is needed with added coordination and close rapport among various agencies responsible for fighting terror and terrorists.
