JAMMU, July 25: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Jammu and Kashmir Police has arrested another accused in the murder case of a 39-year-old man in Jammu’s Greater Kailash locality on April 30, this year.
Sharad Puri, the eleventh individual arrested today, was under continuous investigation since the incident happened, when one Avtar Singh son of Balbir Singh was murdered in broad daylight over a land dispute.
Following his arrest, Puri was presented before the court which granted his 14-day judicial remand.
A senior police officer confirmed the arrest of Sharad Puri.
To date, the police have arrested 10 individuals in this case, including former SSP Sheikh Mohammad, property dealer Ravinder Gupta alias Gola Shah, Purshotam alias Nikku, Suraj Singh, Sandeep Charak, Vikas Singh, Rajat Jandial (son of Gola Shah), Sachin Singh, Raghunandan Singh, and Varun Singh.
