LPEF’s memorandum to Union Finance Minister

JAMMU, July 25: All J&K Low Paid Government Employees Federation has sent a memorandum to Union Finance Minister, Dr Nirmala Sitharaman demanded early constitution of Eighth Pay Commission.
The memorandum signed by Achal Dev Singh convener LPEF J&K said the Federation in its meeting has decided to submit a memorandum to Finance Minister Government of India urging her that the Eighth Pay Commission which is scheduled to be implemented in the year 2026 and hence the process reviewing of pay structures of low paid employees and pensioners should begin.
The meeting said reviewing of the pay scales and allowances is essential for maintaining the morale and efficiency of the employees in view of the rising cost of living and increasing demands of employees. The Federation expressed the hope that timely constitution of Pay Commission will ensure fair and adequate compensation for the hardworking employees of the UT.
