Durganagar delegation calls on RRC, MD JPDCL, others

JAMMU, July 25: A delegation of Welfare Coordination Committee Durganagar and Dogra Nagar led by Sanjay Ganjoo, Bihari Lal Raina, M.K.Razdan and Chaman Lal Dhar met Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, (RRC Migrants), Dr.Arvind Karwani regarding the problems faced by migrants who are being deprived of benefits under Ayushman scheme.
As majority of migrants have been issued Ayushman cards but when it is actually to be used in Hospital refuse to entertain them saying it is not approved causing lot of difficulties to the ailing patients, the informed RRC. The RRC assured that soon camps will be organised by Relief Department in camp and non-camp areas to look into the problem so that in future such difficulties should not arise.
Later the delegation met MD (JPDCL) regarding the unscheduled power cuts and fluctuation problem faced during night hours in Durganagar and Dogranagar as well as other areas of Ward 64 and 65.
The delegation requested MD that there should be separate Feeder for Chinore area which is presently being catered by Feeder No.RN6 causing overload and due to this residents of Sector-02 Durganagar and its extension have to suffer every Summer.
It said The Department has been requested so many times but nothing was done on ground.
The delegation met VC (JDA) and requested him to accord sanction for JDA land in Durganagar Sector-02 for construction of New OHT having capacity of 2 lac gallons.
It also met executive engineers of Civil and Mechanical Jal Shakti regarding speed up process of laying of pipes from newly constructed Tubewell to OHT Durganagar for which tendering has been done. It also demanded speeding up of process for installation of New Motor in Muthi Gaon for which tendering has been done.
