CUK wins 2nd prize in ‘Achievements and Schemes EXPO-24’

Srinagar, July 27: The Central University of Kashmir (CUK) participated in the “Government Achievements and Schemes EXPO 2024” at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, from July 20-22, 2024, and won the 2nd prize in the event.
In a statement, the PRO of CUK said that the award was presented in recognition of CUKashmir’s contributions in the fields of education and community service, highlighting the university’s commitment to excellence and its role in driving positive change in the region.
Vice Chancellor Prof. A. Ravinder Nath congratulated the team for their hard work and for bringing laurels to the university by securing the 2nd prize.
He praised the team for upholding the trust the university placed in them and for making the participation visible and remarkable to the visitors.
“This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our faculty, staff, and students. It reflects our commitment to quality education and research. We are honored to be recognized on such a significant platform and will continue to strive for excellence in all our endeavors,” he said.
Dean of Academic Affairs Prof. Shahid Rasool appreciated the contributions of faculty and staff, especially the sub-committee members, for their efforts in preparing materials for display during the Expo.
It is to be noted here that a total of one hundred institutions, including government departments and research centers, participated in the National Expo.
The university’s monitoring team for the Expo included Prof. Shahid Rasool, DAA; Prof. Fayaz Ahmad Nika, Dean of the School of Business Studies; and Prof. Sandhya Tiwari, Dean of the School of Languages.
Prominent personalities who visited the stall included Prof. Lalnilawma, Minister of State for Rural Development, Public Health Engineering, and Horticulture, Government of Mizoram; Sunil Kumar Sharma, Minister of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of UP; and Ch. Naresh Tikait, National President of the Bhartiya Kisan Union, who all commended the university’s role in academics, research, skill development, and community engagement while signing the visitors’ book.
