RAMBAN, July 27: Police here today arrested a rape accused who was evading arrest for the last five months.
A written complaint in a case of FIR Number 37 of 2024 Under Section 376/417 IPC was registered at Police Station Ramsoo on March 19, 2024 against one Sandeep Singh, son of Janak Singh, resident of Hoochak, Tehsil Pogal Paristan in Ramban district.
Sandeep Singh was absconding and evading arrest after committing the crime with a motive to avoid legal proceedings.
Sensing gravity of the offence, a special Police team was constituted by SSP Ramban, Anuj Kumar to nab him.
The police team from Police Post Ukhral headed by Incharge Police Post Ukhral, PSI Ishan Sharma made strenuous efforts and arrested the rape accused and produced him before the Court.
