JAMMU, July 27: A young man allegedly ended his life by hanging with a ceiling fan at his residence here at Muthi area, officials said.
Sumit Kumar (24-25 years old) son of Bhagwan Dass of Suryavanshi Nagar, Muthi, was found hanging with a ceiling fan at his residence around 8:15 am today, they said.
After getting information, a team from Police Post Chinore took body into possession and later got the post-mortem conducted at Government Medical College Jammu.
Meanwhile, police have initiated inquest proceedings under section 194 of the BNSS to ascertain the reasons as to why the young man took such an extreme to end his life.
