JAMMU, July 29: Jambu Zoo here today celebrated International Tiger Day highlighting the critical need to protect tigers and their habitat.
The event was attended by wildlife enthusiasts, conservationists, students and dignitaries, all united by a common goal of raising awareness about the importance of tiger conservation.
The day’s proceedings included informative talks by experts on tiger ecology and conservation strategies, interactive sessions for students to learn about tiger behaviour and their role in the ecosystem.
Speaking on the occasion, Range Officer at Jambu Zoo emphasized Zoo’s commitment to wildlife conservation and protection of tigers.
Visitors were encouraged to participate in conservation efforts through various initiatives such as adopting a tiger and supporting habitat restoration projects.
A special highlight was plantation drive at Jambu Zoo for a better environment for the wildlife.
