Financial support to J&K

Sir,
The Central Government’s allocation of Rs 17,000 crore to Jammu and Kashmir, including Rs 12,000 crore for the Jammu and Kashmir Police, marks a significant step towards addressing the region’s fiscal stress and promoting stability. This comprehensive budget aims to foster infrastructure development, enhance governance, and support local entrepreneurship with a new startup policy. The focus on tourism, health, and industrial growth highlights a holistic approach to J&K’s development.
By relieving the fiscal burden of the police expenses from the UT, the Government ensures more funds are available for developmental projects. This financial support, coupled with structural reforms, paves the way for sustained economic growth and social development in J&K. It’s a commendable move that promises to bring lasting peace and prosperity to the region.
