JAMMU, Apr 4: Kashmiri Bhasha Evam Samskriti Pratishthan (Samprati) is going to start a comprehensive programme of teaching Kashmiri to the younger generation.
The first programme in this series shall be held at Jagti Township, Nagrota and followed by programmes at other places.
This was stated by the president of Samprati, Dr R L Bhat, while speaking at the “Leela Mushairia” organized by Samprati at K L Saigal Hall on the occasion of Navratra here today. Hailing the Bhakti poetry the theme program, he said that spiritualism has been the primary fount of poetry and must not be discounted in the material and cerebral quests.
The programme of poetry was titled “Navratra Special”. The presidum was composed of President Samprati Dr R L Bhat, noted poet Prem Nath Shaad and the well known scholar, Dr R L Shant. Secretary Kundan Paras read the welcome address. Programme was conducted by Dr Roshan Saraf vice-president Samprati.
The poets who recited their poems at the program included Santosh Shah Nadaan, Tej Sagar, BN Ablash, B L Bhat Arpan, Raj Kumari Razdan, Sadhna Ji, Bimla Aima, Rajini Bhat, Soom Nath Sanam, Vijay Wali, AK Naaz, Rajinder Aagosh, J L Koul, A K Ganjoo, Kanaya Lal, Shiban Lal Tiku, T N Vishwas, Vijay Shabnam, Dr Roshan Saraf, and Kundan Paras. Other dignitaries who attended the function included Prof P N Trisal, Prof H L Misri, B K Sanyasi, Premi Romani, HN Tiku and Rinku Koul, publicity secretary of Samprati.
Noted scholar and Sahitya Akademi awardee, Dr R L Shant gave a critical appreciation of Krishen Joo Razdan’s well known poem, “Byal Tai Maadal Venu Gulaab….”
