KATHUA, July 31: Former Minister and additional general secretary of National Conference, Ajay Sadhotra today expressed deep concern over the continuous stream of misleading guarantees made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Addressing a meeting of NC unit Kathua (Urban), Sadhotra said that time and again, Prime Minister Modi has made grandiose promises to the people of India, only to fall drastically short of delivering on them. He said that take the cases of promises made by PM Modi crediting Rs 15 lakh into every citizen’s bank account and providing 2 crore jobs annually to the youths which have fallen flat with nothing of that sort happening on ground.
“Sadly now the two guarantees find no mention in PM’s speeches or any other leader of the largest party BJP as if the loud claims were only to fool the masses and to gain political support in elections,” he said.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Ajit Kumar District president JKNC Kathua. Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial president, Sheikh Bashir Provincial secretary, Ayub Malik Provincial secretary, Vijay Lochan Chairman JK NC SC Cell and Rakesh Singh Raka  vice president Central Zone were also present.
In his address, Rattan Lal Gupta expressed grave concern over the recent surge in terrorist activities across the J&K especially in Jammu Division which is creating a wave of fear psychosis among the residents whether living in cities or far off hamlets.  He, however, asked the people to support the NC party in coming Assembly elections to ensure that J&K’s pristine glory is restored besides peace and progress, which remained the virtues of NC led governments in the past also.
Sheikh Bashir Ahmed and Ayub Malik Provincial secretaries said that BJP has miserably failed to stand upto the expectations of the people as they have made up their minds to root out this party, with anti-people policies, from the region.
Vijay Lochan, Chairman SC Cell and Rakesh Singh Raka vice president Central Zone said that farmers have been facing so many hardships as the Government has failed to ensure water in their fields during the sowing season.
Among those who were present include,  Sagar Chand former MLA, Sham Narian Mehta District president Kathua Rural, K K Bakshi, Subash Chander Azad, Parveen Kousar, Pardeep Kesar and others.
