Maha Yagya performed at Panchmukhi Shiv Dham Vessu Colony

JAMMU, July 31: A Maha Yagya was solemnised at Panchmukhi Shiv Dham Colony in Vessu, Kulgam. It was a significant spiritual event that drew large number of devotees from across the Valley. This annual event, a testament to the rich cultural and spiritual traditions of the region, began at 5:00 PM on July 30th and culminated on the following day with the Puran Aahhuti, marking the completion of the rituals.
Panchmukhi Shiv Dham Colony, nestled in the serene environs of Vessu Kulgam, is renowned for its tranquil atmosphere and spiritual significance. The temple complex, dedicated to Lord Shiva, features the unique Panchmukhi (five-faced) idol of Shiva, symbolizing different aspects of the deity. This sacred site serves as a focal point for devotees, not only from the immediate region but also from distant areas, who visit there seeking blessings and spiritual solace.
In addition to the religious rituals, the Maha Yagya featured cultural performances that showcased the rich heritage of the region. Local artists and performers presented devotional songs, dance performances and bhajans dedicated to Lord Shiva. These cultural presentations added a layer of joy and celebration to the event, making it a holistic experience for all attendees.
Following the Puran Aahhuti, the priests blessed the gathered devotees which were followed by serving of prashad.
