We all know that Goddess Durga gives us boons and save us from dangers of life.”Durgat Trayate iti Durga.” That which saves us from ‘Durgati’ or downfall in life is known as Durga Shakti. People perform Durga festival with much pomp and ceremony in every Autumn and Spring season. But the hidden truth and the spiritual force behind Goddess Durga is not known to many. That is why, it would better to discuss the occult force behind Durga puja.
The idol of Durga is just like this. She is mounting on the lion who is roaring in the left of Durga is Goddess Saraswati and in the right Laxmi. In the left beneath God Kumar and in the right is Ganapati. She is killing the demon Mahisa, the Buffalo demon with Trisula, The Serpent is bitting the demon.
The main idol of Durga is golden yellow in colour and represents the planet sun who gives spiritual energy. The white lion, the vehicle of Goddess is the Moon. Sun rays falls on Moon and nourishes the vegetable and animal kingdom.
The open mouth of lion is north node Rahu and the tail of lion is Ketu. Lord Ganapati represents Buddhi and Siddhi is the planet ‘Mercury’. Lord Kumar is the planet Mars who is known as the commander of Divine Army. Goddess Laxmi is Jupiter who gives wealth and prestige. Goddess Saraswati is the planet venus who gives music and fine arts. The Serpent bitting Buffalo is Saturn the latest poison.
(i) Mantras: Pacification of planets through Durga-Shakti: Mantra is: Om Hrim Dum Durgayei Namah.
The recitation of this astak shari-Vidya for 8000 times in a specified peace and time, will give relief from Graha-Badhas. The durgayantra may be worn in the neck to eradicate bad cosmic vibrations.
(ii) Specific Remedies
Durga-murti made of gold should be immersed in the river to pacify the evils of Jupiter and Mercury. Silver idol solves the problems of Moon+Venus.Durga idol or yantra made of copper should be immersed in the river to pacify the ills of the sea-god. Earthen idol is for pacifying Mars-dosha. The idol maden of Bhasma, or iron is meant to pacify Rahu and Ketu.
(iii) Tantrik Remedies
(a) Offer Red cloth and (sindur) vermilion to Durga Devi for Sun and Mars affliction.
(b) Offer sicken cloth and white sandal paste for Moon and Venus
(c) Offer yellow robes (garment) and orange for Jupiter and Mercury
(d) Saturn+Rahu-Black robes
(iv) Yantrik Remedy:
(1) The Durga Yantra made out to pacify the evils of Jupiter and Mercury.
(2) The Silver Yantra will be helpful for Moon and Venus afflictions.
(3) Copper Yantra are best for Sun affliction in birth chart.
(4) Yantra made of iron or lead is for Rahu and Sani. This should be worn after due puja and prana pratishta.
(5) Feeding of Brahmins for Jupiter and Mercury dosa.
Feeding of Khyatriyas for Sun and Mars dosa. Feeding of Vaisyas for Moon and Venus. Feeding of Sundras for Saturn and Rahu are helpful. It should be done after puja and prasad offering to mother.
Hence Goddess Durga is the wide spread consciousness of our universe or solar system. She is called the Paramatma Chaitanya, our Jeeva Chaitanya or ‘Jeevatma’ is only a spark of this burning energy or Durga-Devi. If we make our life attuned to this fiery force. Then only we will be freed from death, decacy and ill-luck.
The Durga Mantras are made of fiery seeds which always burns the sin. It makes our body, mind and soul versed with steller-fire. This Durga-Vidya is known as Tara-Vidya. It is ‘Tarayati its Tara. The Mantra for Durga Devi is ‘Hrim.’
This ‘Hrim’Vibration is always rhythmically resounding in our heart. The world Hridaya is vibrating with ‘HRIM’
The eight lettered mantra of Durga-Devi is representative of eight planetary forces.
Mantra: (Om Hrim Dum Durgayei Namah)
This eight lettered Mantra will pacify that eight kinds of cosmic energy radiate through eight planets, such as:
Om – The Sun-spirit
Hrim – The Moon-mind
Dum – The Mars-The energy
Dur – The Mercury-Intellect
Ga – The Guru-Wealth
Yei – The Venus-Music
Na – Sat-Serpent
Mah – Rahu and Ketu-Nodal
