SAMBA, Aug 2: Expressing his jubiliation over the land mark decision granting ownership rights to Western Pakistan and other refugees after 70 years of independence, Former Minister and senior BJP leader, Chander Parkash Ganga called PM Narendra Modi messiah of poor and down trodden who gave justice to hapless refugees.
He was talking to the West Pak refugees the beneficiaries of Modi Governemnt decision at Vijaypur while celebrating the decision. The beneficiaries complimented PM Modi, LG, Manoj Sinha and BJP led NDA Government.
On the occasion Ganga said, “This decision will significantly empower thousands of families across the Jammu region. It is pertinent to mention that post re-organisation of year 2019, domicile rights have been conferred by Government of India to the West Pakistan displaced persons and now they have been granted land ownership”.
Ganga said the parties claiming to be champions of social justice had subjected to these families to grave injustice and discrimination and had made their lives miserable for last 70 years just to appease the particular vote bank constituency. Congress never cared about them and even the Valmiki Samaj got domicile and became eligible for jobs and higher education in J&K Government only after abrogation of Article 370. When it comes to doing justice, PM Modi never cared about vote bank and has always stood with the downtrodden, he added.
“The shackles have been broken and the tag of refugees is now removed,. I wholeheartedly congratulate the entire refugee community for this new dawn in their lives and best wishes for their coming generations,’’ Ganga said.
Others present were BJP senior leader Jai Ram Sharma, BJP district general secretary, Amit Dubey, DDC Member, Shilpa Dubey, BJP block president, Atresh Dutta, Ajay Kumar, Girdhari Lal and BJYM district vice president, Dheeraj Sharma.
