SHOPIAN, Aug 3: A delegation led by Ashok Sathoo president Tirthraj Kapal Mochan Sanstha (TRKM) called on the Deputy Commissioner, Shopian Fazlul Haseeb in his office chambers here, today and discussed the arrangements to be made at Kapalmochan Shrine, Digam Nagbal Shopian for the ensuing festivals Shravan Bah in which devotees from different parts of J&K and other states are likely to participate. During the celebration of the holy festival a Maha Yagya will also be solemnised at the ancient shrine.
A number of points were discussed with the Deputy Commissioner. The Deputy Commissioner after hearing the demands agreed and issued on the spot orders for construction of pacca road to toilet blocks, levelling of the ground and sanctioned a handsome amount for conducting different civil works at Kapalmochan shrine for its face lifting and beautification.
The other members who accompanied Ashok Sathoo were Bansi Lal Kaul, Arvind Pandita and Dwarka Nath . The delegation expressed its satisfaction over the assurance given by DC and steps taken by him in ensuring best arrangements for the festival and face lifting of the shrine.
