Drinking water supply among issues discussed by TNWS

JAMMU, Aug 4: A meeting of Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society (TNWS) was held here today.
TNWS members in the meeting discussed the demand of new bore-well in Ward 54, Trikuta Nagar Colony so that drinking water supply in the area may improve.
They demanded that street lights in the area need repair or replacement and timing of drinking water supply should be increased as at present some areas are just receiving drinking water supply for 15 minutes a day. The TNWS members said that tube well in Sector-5, Ward 54 should be connected to PHE direct power supply line to improve water supply to Ward 54.
They also expressed concern over increasing theft cases in Trikuta Nagar Colony.
Another demand raised was that of reconstruction of tiled speed breakers in and out of every by-lanes in Ward 54.
Reconstruction of all drains with proper slope to prevent water logging was still another demand.
Many speakers in the meeting demanded PHTC and AYUSH health center in the area.
They said that they took their issues to almost all the concerned authorities and also raised these demands in joint meeting with MP Jammu, Commissioner JMC and others but no heed was paid to their issues.
The meeting was chaired by Rajinder P. Kakkar, president TNWS and was attended by Ramneek Dubey, R.K Kakroo, Kewal Sher, Anil Sharma, Som Nath Kaul, Ashok Kumar Arora, Vijay Gupta, Varinder Kumar Suri and Dr. T.R Gupta.
