JAMMU, Aug 4: Mission Statehood Jammu Kashmir (MSJK) activists here today staged a protest demonstration against PDD and burnt the copies of power bills.
The protest was led by MSJK leader, Sunil Dimple who claimed that PDD was issuing faulty bills to poor families while there are long power cuts in the city.
He threatened massive protest demonstration outside the office of Chief Engineer PDD if the long power cuts are not reduced.
Dimple alleged there is no accountability in PDD.
He also claimed that all the streets lights are not working properly in the lanes and roads of Jammu.
The MSJK leader further said that most of the transformers, jumper and other equipments in many Wards and even at the Gladni Grid are in defunct condition and not working properly.
“Due to power fluctuation, many electric gadgets have been damaged,” he maintained making a demand of return of Salal, Uri and Rattle power projects back to J&K and waiving off of the power bills of poor families.
Bramu Sharma, Sanjay Sethi, Sudershan Sharma, Rinku Sharma, Raju and many others were also present in the protest.
