REASI, Aug 5: Anand Jain, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Jammu Zone, led a thorough review of the arrangements for the upcoming Kausar Nag Yatra at Chassana area here with senior officers from the Police, Army, CRPF and ITBP.
As per a statement, the meeting attended by DIG UR Range, Rayees Mohammad Bhat, SSP Reasi, Mohita Sharma and other key police officials, aimed to ensure the safety, security and convenience of pilgrims during the significant annual pilgrimage.
Emphasizing the need for meticulous planning, ADGP Jain stressed the importance of coordination among departments to guarantee a smooth pilgrimage.
He underscored the necessity of robust security measures, efficient traffic management, and comprehensive medical facilities to safeguard the well-being of the pilgrims.
During the review, ADGP Jain assessed the security arrangements, including the deployment of additional forces, surveillance systems and quick response teams.
He directed officials to maintain high vigilance and preparedness to counter any potential security threats, given recent security challenges.
The discussion also covered logistical arrangements, such as transportation, accommodation, sanitation and medical services.
He instructed officers to establish help desks and information centers along the route to assist pilgrims and address their concerns.
ADGP Jain highlighted the collective responsibility of all involved to ensure that the Yatra is conducted smoothly, allowing pilgrims to undertake their journey with peace and devotion.
