Kargil, August 05, 20224: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today chaired a meeting to discuss the execution of road works from Petrol Pump to Council Secretariat Kargil.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Suse; Commander 121; Col 50 (Land); Adm Commander Station HQ; Additional SP, Kargil; ACR, Kargil; Tehsildar, Kargil; Incharge XeN (R&B) and other officials.
During the meeting, the CEC praised the strong relationship between the local population and the Army, emphasizing the importance of continued cooperation in the execution of the road works.
He informed the attendees that a Detailed Project Report (DPR) has already been prepared by the local administration, which includes provisions for pedestrians, cycling, lighting, and a two-way road etc.
The CEC called for cooperation from all stakeholders and along with the Deputy Commissioner and instructed the concerned officials to conduct a joint survey based on the DPR to finalize the project map.
The Army Officers assured cooperation and additionally requested the construction of a motorable bridge or footbridge from Latoo to Kaksar for both defence and local purpose.
In response, the CEC directed the concerned authorities to prepare a DPR for the bridge. The CEC further urged collaboration to ensure successful execution of the road works.
