Cong only hope for ideal India: Shabir

RAJOURI, Apr 6: Former Minister and MLA Rajouri Shabir Khan while conducting public meetings at ThandaPani, Ghambir Brahmana, Panjgarain  sought vote for Madan Lal Sharma, coalition candidate for Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary constituency. Addressing public he said that on the basis of his (Madan) performance as MP he deserves another term as MP to resolve the issues of the people which are unheard. He said during the last two tenures Mr Sharma tried his best to raise & resolve the issues pertaining to the Constituency such as long ending issues like Jammu-Poonch Railway line, Medical College for Rajouri-Poonch people, 73rd Amendment to strengthen PRIs, Development of Tourist Places along with road connectivity.
Khan said that UPA Government also passed many historical bills in the Parliament like MGNREGA, Food Security Bill,  Lokpal bill, NRHM, Vendors Protection Bill, RGAY, RTI and if UPA-III will come to power “Right to Health bill” also get the nod. Khan also  appreciated and supported the statement of Shahi Imam for appealing Muslims to support Congress party in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. He described Imam’s decision as a patriotic one and in right direction at the right time. He said that communal forces have already damaged the secular ethos of the country and endangered the existence and security of the country. Khan said that Hindu, Muslim, Sikh brotherhood is inevitable for national integration and need of the hour is to further strengthen this bond of true secularism.
Khan said that UPA-III is the only hope for equitable development of Jammu region in particular and nation in general. He said that the Country has witnessed tremendous development in all spheres of life under the UPA regime in the past 10 years including in the State of Jammu & Kashmir. Congress is the only party which is the hope for an ideal of India. It is the only party which can give a permanent security council position in United Nations. He cautioned voters about divisive politics and urged them to vote for NC-Congress coalition candidate.
