Soz asks workers to strengthen Cong

KUPWARA, July 1: Former Union Minister and Pradesh Congress Committee president Prof Saifuddin Soz (MP) today asked the party workers to strengthen Congress Party at grass root level in Kashmir valley.
While addressing party workers and others at Kalaroos, Khumriyal in Lolab and Halmatpora, Awooraand Hatmulla in Kupwara today Prof Soz said that only Congress party can ensure better development of the J&K State. He asked the party workers to strengthen Congress at the grass-root level and maintained that only this party can keep united all the three regions of the State. He said that Congress party would fulfill its commitment made with the people during elections and would come up to the expectation of people.
During the meetings the local leaders and people projected their demands and problems regarding drinking water, power supply, irrigation facilities, dilapidated road condition etc. Prof Soz sanctioned money out of his MP LAD funds for repair of roads, construction of bathrooms/ toilets, fencing and leveling of parks and provision of transformers. He assured that he has taken note of their problems and will take up the same with the concerned officers. He also provided funds for computers and sports material for youth and girls of the area.
During his tour nearly thirty political workers from other parties joined Congress Party. Senior party leaders Muzaffar Parray, Ghulam Nabi Monga, Mohd Amin Khan, Haji Farooq and Nazir Ahmed Lone also addressed gathering.
