One pilgrim killed, another injured

JAMMU, July 1: Amarnath pilgrim died while his associate received severe injuries in a mishap in district Ramban.
Police spokesman said that, two pilgrims namely Mohan Lal, son of Natu Lal of Yadav Nagar, Delhi and Umesh Singh, son of Pala Ram of Sector 18, Delhi on way to Amarnath shrine were taking bath near Anokhi waterfall, in the Ramban district, when a shooting stone suddenly fall on them, causing serious injuries to them.
The duo were shifted to district hospital, Ramban, where Mohan Lal failed to respond to the treatment and died, he said, adding, that the condition of Umesh Singh was stated to be stable, when last reports came in.
The body of the deceased was handed over to their friends after autopsy, while, a case has been registered in Police Station Ramban.
