LOS ANGELES, Apr 7: Actor Matt Gerald has signed on to play a villain in Marvel’s upcoming Ant-Man movie.
The film is set to star Paul Rudd in the title role, along with Corey Stoll, Patrick Wilson and Evangeline Lilly, reported Deadline.
Gerald recently starred in the Marvel one-shot All Hail the King, where he played a character called White Power Dave.
It is unclear if he will be reprising that role in Ant-Man, or playing an entirely new character.
Marvel has been relatively consistent with universe tie-ins for all of its properties, with recent release ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ connecting to the current season of Agents of SHIELD.
‘Ant-Man’ is scheduled for release on July 17, 2015 in the US and the UK. (PTI)
