Cardamom futures down 1.68 pc on profit-booking

NEW DELHI, Apr 7:  Cardamom futures prices today fell by 1.68 per cent to Rs 910.40 per kg as speculators booked profits at prevailing levels amid subdued spot demand.
Adequate stocks availability in the physical market also put pressure on the cardamom prices in futures trade.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in May declined by Rs 15.60, or 1.68 per cent, to Rs 910.40 per kg in business turnover of 431 lots.
Likewise, the spice for delivery in April shed Rs 9.60, or 1.07 per cent, to Rs 887 per kg with trading volume of 174 lots.
Analysts said profit-booking by speculators at prevailing higher levels and subdued demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position, mainly kept pressure on the cardamom prices at futures trade. (PTI)
