Three held with stolen cash

RAMBAN, Aug 8: Police here today has arrested three persons who were involved in a theft case and recovered the stolen Rs 4.50 lakh from them.
Police sources informed that on April 30, 2024, a written complaint was lodged at Police Station Chanderkote by one Fareed Khan, resident of Kunfer, Chanderkote stating that some thieves broke locks of his shop at main market Chanderkote and decamped with cash amounting to Rs 4.50 lakh.
A case in FIR No. 5 of 2024 under Sections 457 and 380 of IPC was registered at Police Station Chanderkote and investigation was initiated.
Later, a special team was constituted by SSP Ramban, Anuj Kumar under the close supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban.
The Police team led by SHO Chanderkote, Jatinder Singh rounded up several suspects and upon sustained interrogation Saddam Hussain, son of Ghulam Hassan, resident of Bypass Nagrota, Jammu; Liyaqat Hussain, son of Shams Din, resident of Chanderkote and Anayatullah Seikh, son of Nazir Ahmed Seikh, resident of Chanderkote confessed their involvement in the case.
On their disclosure stolen cash was recovered. Further investigation in the case was going on.
