Deputation of teachers meets DSEJ, raises issues

JAMMU, Aug 9: A deputation of Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) led by its president, Vinod Sharma here today called on Director School Education (DSE) Jammu, Ashok Kumar Sharma and raised issues of the teaching fraternity.
The deputation demanded regularisation of ReTs who have completed 5 years of ReT period, conversion of RReTs to Teachers Grade II/III by arranging a divisional level committee meeting, adjustment of newly promoted teachers to masters and conducting one more DPC of teachers.
Another demand raised was issuance of mutual transfer list of left out cases.
The Director said that meeting of Regularisation Committee will be fixed next week besides arranging divisional level committee meeting for conversion to Teachers Grade II/III.
He also assured to issue adjustment list of newly promoted teachers to masters within ten days.
After this the deputation met Director Finance and other officers and demanded filling up of posts of ZEOs and Headmasters. The deputation also demanded issuance of DDO powers in favour of headless zones/schools.
Those who were present in the deputation were Rajesh Jamwal, Sham Parkash, Sukesh Khajuria, Khazan Singh, Ravinder Manhas, Surinder Singh, Vishal Sharma, Gurdayal and others.
