SPMR College hosts Cultural Bonanza

JAMMU, Aug 9: NSS Unit of the SPMR College of Commerce in collaboration with Cultural Committee today organized a grand Cultural Bonanza.
The celebrations featured a kaleidoscope of cultural expressions in form of a series of captivating performances, including traditional dance, melodious singing and evocative poem recitations showcasing the creative talents of the students.
The programme started with traditional lighting of the lamp by Principal of the College Prof (Dr) Rajinder Singh, who was also the chief guest on the occasion. It was followed by a stunning array of dance performances that captivated the audience by Amit Manhas and Tanishka Mehra who showcased their diverse talents with grace and precision. The musical performance of the event in the form of a soulful rendition of a patriotic song by Karan equally mesmerised the audience.
A poignant poem recitation that captured the essence of freedom and national pride was presented by Bhumika Sharma, which reflected the struggles and triumphs of India’s journey to independence.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal of the College pointed out that the event not only highlighted the artistic talents of the students but also fostered a sense of unity and national pride among the attendees.
The programme was organized by NSS Programme Officers Dr Deepshikha Sharma and Dr Deepak Pathania along with members of the Literary and Cultural Committee Prof Shaji Khan, Dr Jagmeet Kour, Dr Fayza, Prof Sindhu Kotwal, Dr Roomi Rani, Dr Neeru Devi Anand and Prof Khalid Hussain. The comparing of the programme was done by Taranpreet and Tannu.
Among those who were present on the occasion included Prof Pawan Gupta, Dr Reena Rani, Prof Rekha Gupta, Dr Chetna Gupta, Prof Monika Mahajan, Dr Mamta Rani, Dr Sunal and Prof Binny.
