Theft case solved, one held with stolen property

RAMBAN, Aug 9: Police here today arrested a man and recovered stolen Government property from him which he had stolen from Panchayat Ghar, Gagarsullah, in Gool.
According to Police, a written complaint was received at Police Station Gool on August 4, 2024 from a Village Level Worker of Rural Development Department Gagarsulla regarding theft of Government property.
The complainant had stated that some thieves stole four solar panel plates, four batteries, one inverter and one stabilizer from Panchayat Ghar Gagarsulla Gool valuing Rs 3 lakhs.
After this a case in FIR No.62 of 2024, under Section 305 (e)/331(4) BNS was registered at Police Station Gool and investigation was started.
A special team was constituted by SSP Ramban, Anuj Kumar under the close supervision of SDPO Gool to work out the theft case.
During investigation, cops from Police Station Gool rounded up several suspects.
Upon sustained interrogation, one suspect Ashiq, son of Bahar Din Shah, resident of Gagarsulla confessed to have committed the theft with the connivance of another person Nadeem Ahmed Shah, son of Jaffer Shah, a resident of Gagarsulla Gool.
On the disclosure of Ashiq stolen Government property was recovered. Investigation in the case was going on.
