POONCH, Aug 9: An elderly villager who receives serious facial injuries in bear attack two days ago in Kharappa area of Loran in Poonch succumbs to his injuries, while a woman was today injured in yet another attack by bear at Khait, Narian in Maharkote area of tehsil Mandi.
Official sources said that Bashir Ahmed Sheikh, son of Raheem Sheikh, receives serious facial injuries in bear attack when he was at his residence. Initially, the injured was taken to PHC Loran, then shifted to DH Poonch from where he was referred to GMC Jammu and later taken to Amritsar where he succumbs to his injuries under treatment. A woman today received injuries in bear attack near her residence at Khait, Narian in Loran block today. Medical Superintendent District Hospital Poonch Dr Nusrat Bhatti identifies injured woman as Gulzar Bi (42), wife of Abdul Majeed. She said that injured was received here in District Hospital who is under treatment, her condition is said to be stable.
