SRINAGAR, Aug 12: Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari highlighted pressing public issues across the Valley, attributing them to official apathy, inadequate infrastructure, rising unemployment and inflation.
Addressing concerns from various public delegations at the Party Headquarters in Srinagar, Bukhari stressed the urgent need for immediate Assembly elections.
He argued that only an elected Government can effectively address these problems, as elected representatives are directly accountable to their constituents.
The delegations, representing areas including Ladoora, Bandipora, Yaripora-Kulgam, Poonch, Shopian, Chanapora-Stadium Colony and Broadway Shivpora, presented their grievances to Bukhari.
The Apni Party leader assured them that their issues would be forwarded to the relevant officials for prompt action.
He committed that if the Apni Party receives a public mandate in the forthcoming elections, it would prioritize addressing the concerns of the people and improving their well-being.
Bukhari emphasized that holding the Assembly polls without delay is crucial for effective governance and addressing the Valley’s challenges.
He reiterated that only elected representatives could provide the accountability and action needed to resolve the region’s pressing issues.
