UDHAMPUR, Aug 12: BJP spokesperson, Ranbir Singh Pathania here today flagged off a Yatra from Manwal to the revered shrine of Sudh Mahadev.
Speaking on the occasion Pathania said that Sudh Mahadev shrine in Udhampur district is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is believed to be over 2,800 years old. He said that Government has taken significant steps to develop and showcase Sudh Mahadev as a model tourist destination.
“Recognizing historical and religious significance of the place, authorities have initiated various infrastructure projects like development of roads and highways leading to the shrine, ensuring that pilgrims can travel safely and comfortably,” he maintained adding: “The Government has focused on upgrading amenities and preserving the natural beauty surrounding the temple.” Pathania lauded the efforts of Sanatana Dharma Sabha, Manwal in organizing and promoting religious activities in the area.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Nand Kishore, Chairman Sanatana Dharma Sabha, Manwal; Somnath, president Sanatana Dharma Sabha, Manwal; Hemraj Gupta, B.D Gupta, Babu Ram, Satish, Durga Das, Devi Das, Vijay Kumar and Makhan Lal.
