POONCH, Aug 14: An Army soldier and two porters were injured in a mine-blast, near the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch sector today.
Official sources said that explosion took place at around 2.30 pm near Tekri post, in Sawjian area of Mandi Sub Division. The soldier and porters were moving near the post. A porter over stepped a land mine area mistakenly, causing massive explosion and injuries to all the three.
The injured, Havildar Inderjeet Singh, Shakeel Hussain (Porter ) and Neeraj Choudhary (Porter) were shifted to Army Hospital in Poonch for treatment. Meanwhile, a case has been registered in this regard and investigation taken up.
